Price per square inch

We charge .03-.04 cents per square inch for all edge to edge designs. This includes quilting, thread, any digital design you wish, photographs of your quilt and trimming once it is finished. The price range depends on the density of the overall quilting and the amount of time the pattern takes to stitch out. Visit my Quilt Prep page for links to different digital design websites.

Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .03 = $144.

Our minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.

Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price. Check my batting page for more information.

Photography

We are not professional photographers, but we do our best to take "nice" photos with our "good" camera! Upon completion of the quilting, we will take photos of your quilt in our well-lit studio and then text/email you those images to use however you would like. We just ask that you credit us for the photo and/or quilting if posting publicly. This extra service is included in your square inch price.

Shipping

To us: We live in WA, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. We recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.

Return shipping: We will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority mail for a flat rate charge of $10/quilt. Priority mail comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your intake form if you would like us to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but we don't require it.

Other costs

We are required by the State of WA to collect a 10.2%sales tax on the quilting service and batting portion of an invoice. Shipping is not subject to tax.

Payment

After the work is complete, we will invoice you via a link on our website if we are shipping your quilt back to you. We really do appreciate timely payments as that enables us to mail your project(s) back to you right away. For those of you who are local, you are welcome to pay via check, cash, Venmo or credit card.
